The Latest

Hi everyone,

As usual, I've ended up leaving quite the gap between blogs. However, I have a sneaking suspicion that you've managed to occupy your time with other things besides waiting for me to get in touch. (If you haven't, you have my sympathy.)

What's been going on since last I blogged? Well, since you ask, quite a bit, one way or another. I'm continuing to work towards getting an exciting project off the ground with the brilliant photographer, Richard Eyers, of which I shall say more when the time comes. It's one of those things that takes a long time to bring together, but it's all looking very positive still. It will be a multimedia collaboration too, so something rather different. In addition, some new material is, well, materialising, which I'll be airing at upcoming shows.

Speaking of upcoming shows, please check out the updated Events Page. I have a few shows coming up over the Summer, including a return to Durham Fringe Festival (26th & 27th July), plus my first set at the fantastic BAAFest in Northumberland on 6th September.

Tickets and details of these shows and more, PLUS my Autumn Tour (see poster below) can be found here. More dates will be added over the coming weeks, so hopefully between what's already on there, and what's still to come, there'll be something happening in your neck of the woods over the coming months.

You may have seen on social media that I've posted a video of me performing Dylan's Blowin' in the Wind. Perhaps you've heard me perform it live at some point, but I've taken a different approach to the song on this occasion, which to me, feels particularly suited to the times. Please check it out below.

Other than that, I've been relishing any and every opportunity to get out and gig. I've met some other wonderful people of late who are travelling similar paths, not least the incredible Gabriel Moreno, who I thoroughly recommend to you.

We will hopefully be doing more together in the future too.

I guess that's about it for now. If you can get along to any of the upcoming gigs it'd be great to see you! Next up is the Low Lights Tavern in North Shields this coming Friday, 27th. It'll be my first time playing there, and incidentally, it's the venue at which Sam Fender was first discovered, so I'm expecting to be filling St James's Park in a couple of years.

As always, albums, lyric books, news and more, can be found on this site, so do take a look around.

In the meantime, I hope you're keeping afloat in life's increasingly choppy waters. Hopefully we'll sing together soon.

Love and thanks...

Steve x
