Autumn Shows - update

As ever, I hope this post finds you in the finest of fettles.

The last few weeks have been wonderful and varied. I've had the opportunity to play several shows, including a private event; open for the superb Headsticks, and play in front of 3,000 people in the centre of Newcastle as part of an anti-fascist demonstration. I wish the latter had not been necessary, but such are the times in which we live.

But, as always, to the future...

I have a couple of gigs coming up in the North East before I head off on tour. I'll add dates and links to all these shows below, including the two local shows, Station East in Gateshead (18/10) and Beaurepaire Medieval Ruins, Durham (25/10). Full details to all upcoming events can be found here, so please do check for further information and links to tickets, where applicable. I have some new songs to play, as well as some older ones so I hope you'll join me if you can.

In the meantime, hope remains in the hands of those who are willing to fight for it. May we be numbered with such. Doubtless many of us feel powerless to bring about the change we long to see; most are not able to stand for office, or speak in front of the masses, or give over all their time to campaigns and rallies. But I've recently realised something that has been of help to me: if we're doing what we can, we're doing all we can. If sharing sound information or a positive comment on social media is the extent of what you can do, do that. If your circumstances mean that's the most you can do, you're doing all you can do, and you are playing your part in striving for something better than we currently have. And even if, for whatever reason, that doesn't feel posible, that's fine too. Just being someone who refuses to give in to hate and prejudice is a form of resistance in itself. It may have become slightly cliched, but there's much to be said for 'being the change we want to see'. In whatever way you can, keep being that change. Big or small, we each have a vital part to play. So let's play it.

Anyway, this was supposed to be about self-promotion! :-) So, please find all the dates below, and I hope to see you somewhere soon. Oh, and don't forget: if you're wondering what to get that certain somebody for Christmas, it's never too early to head over to the Shop and acquire CDs and/or a copy of my book of lyrics, Stolen Bouquets. Naturally, all these items will be available to purchase at all my upcoming gigs too.

Keep rising...

Steve xx
