What Monday Knows

Pre-order What Tomorrow Knows

Hello to all!

May this find everyone in fine health and good spirits.

So much has happened since I last blogged! I can’t quite recall when it was, but I'm fairly sure that it was before my Autumn Tour; possibly prior to the launch of the new album, and almost certainly several prime ministers ago!

Anyway, here we all are still, and it’s finally the official release of What Tomorrow Knows, this coming Monday!

First of all though, can I say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to the shows I played over the last few weeks. It was perhaps my favourite run of gigs ever and that was, of course, in no small part down to the wonderful audiences. If you were there, my heartfelt thanks. If you couldn’t make it along, I hope I’ll get to see you soon. I have a couple of things happening before 2022 finally keels over into the dank ditch which surely and justly awaits it, details of which I shall shortly share below.

Furthermore, I can’t tell you how thrilled I’ve been to receive so much incredible feedback concerning the new album. A handful of reviews have already come out to date, all of which have been so generous in their comments, and the radio play and remarks from presenters have been equally encouraging. Above all though, the comments I’ve had back from those who’ve bought the CD at the recent shows or heard a song on the radio have meant the most. I can’t thank folk enough for this! If you’ve pre-ordered a copy, they went out today! I do hope they’ll reach you ahead of the 28th. I’m aware that our brothers and sisters in the Royal Mail are striking over the coming days so there may be some unavoidable delay there, but all being well, they will reach their intended destinations by Monday at the latest.

If you’ve yet to order your copy, you can do so here and I’ll get them sent out immediately too so that they’ll be with you ASAP. Also, if you’d like your copy signed, just drop me a live via the Contact page with your order info and I’ll make sure that happens. Oh, and lest we forget, the season of gift-giving be almost upon us, and, as is commonly understood to be the case, there is no finer gift to bestow than that of music. Just something to bear in mind if you’re stuck for something to get for that friend who loves acoustic music, or for that relative you don’t like who doesn’t. 😊 For the full array of goodies available, just head to the Shop.

Concerning upcoming live appearances, I’ll be live in HMV at the Metro Centre in Gateshead this Saturday 26th from 1pm for a special event to mark the album’s official release on the following Monday. I’ll be playing a number of songs from What Tomorrow Knows, along with a smattering of others. Plus, the CD will be available to buy instore! Following that I have a SOLD-OUT house gig here in the North East on 1st December to play.

However…

There are two upcoming opportunities to join me online over the coming weeks. Firstly, there’s to be a Patreon-exclusive session from 7pm on Monday 28th November, the album’s official release date. This will include a few live performances; an audience Q&A, plus a live interview with Neil King from FATEA Magazine who’ll be asking me various questions about the songs and the album as a whole. It’ll be around an hour in total and is free to all my Patreon subscribers. If you’d like to join us and haven’t yet subscribed to my Patreon page, you can do so for as little a £3 per month by clicking on the link here and finding out more. Beyond this though, I’ll be capping-off the year with a live online concert via Zoom which is open to all! There’s no charge to view, though there’ll be the opportunity to ‘pay-as-you-feel’ via PayPal on the night. This takes place from 7:30pm on Friday 9th December and you can join us here anytime from 7:15pm. Do please come along if you can. It’s been quite the year in a number of ways and it would be special to round it all off with as many of you as can make it. I’ll be performing songs from across all the albums, plus a few covers thrown in. (Things may even get festive!)

I guess that’s about it for now! There’ll be a final blog before the festive season gets underway proper, but for now, my sincere thanks again for all the support in all the ways it’s given. It never ceases to amaze or to be anything other than appreciated. I hope you’ll like the new album if you haven’t yet heard it, and that I’ll see you again very soon; either in person or by the wonder of Zoom.

Finally, here’s a link to a less-than-one-minute video promoting What Tomorrow Knows for any who’ve not yet encountered it. Please do check it out!

Wishing everyone all that’s good in the world…

Steve xx
