Thanks & Yuletide Blessings

Firstly, enormous gratitude for all your support in all its many forms during the course of what has been - for us all - a very difficult year. I could never have dreamt as 2020 began that looking back on it 12 months later it would appear so radically different to anything I ever would have imagined. It was not the year I expected in regard to the music; health and so much more. But that's just me and my little circumstances. That something so universal could sweep in and touch everybody's lives... destroying many... and affect so much was just unthinkable. But that's what happened, and that's where we are. And where we're likely to reside for the foreseeable future.

What do we do with all... that?!

I wish I knew. I know that if we're here today and in any way able to, then we owe ourselves one hell of a Christmas! If you enjoy this time of year on any level at all, then I hope this year's celebrations - though perhaps very different - will bring a special joy. I wish for you and for all a New Year like no other. (In a good way!!!)

I wish for the best of what is currently possible for everyone; for struggling businesses and for individuals in positions performing truly heroic tasks for the benefit of all. I wish for them to be properly rewarded and respected for their Herculean efforts. I hope for better days for those whose health and/or income has been hit by this thing and its wider impact on everything. I hope that stages will soon be alight once more and that music, laughter and voices will again soar inside the pubs, clubs and village halls, all the way through to those great cathedrals built to honour and contain the magic of theatre and song for thousands. I hope that those who grace those stages large and small will not be forced to retrain but rather will be enabled to return.

I hope for the very best for you. Thank you once again for any support and encouragement you have kindly given me these past months. Please don't imagine that it didn't make a difference, because I can assure you that it did. And to all who watched and responded to my first live performance last Saturday via Facebook Live, I can't thank you enough for the truly overwhelming feedback and more that has been forthcoming. It means so much! The video is still there on my Facebook page for any who missed it and may wish to take a look.

I'll pop up on social media over the coming weeks, I'm sure, but otherwise, I'll be seeing you in 2021, all things being equal. Do take care and enjoy the festive season!

Some day soon we all will be together, if the fates allow; Until then, we'll have to muddle through somehow. Have yourselves a merry little Christmas now.

Every blessing,

Steve xx
