News 'n' Reviews...

There are gigs on the horizon (listed below) which I am very much looking forward to getting stuck into! Some great venues and some splendid special guests along the way too. Please do join us if you can... it'd be simply fab to see you!

I've also created a page for reviews too as I've been spoiled of late with some lovely comments from many sources. There are some already up on the page but more to be added, and more new ones to come in too.... including from some very exciting places!

Much else has been happening too, including radio sessions and recording with my BBC Folk Award nominated friend Ange Hardy, who is nearing the end of the recording process for her new album, 'Esteesee', which is due for release this Autumn. I can confidently inform you that it is a remarkable piece of work and one that I am thrilled to have been a small part of. Do check out her website when you get a mo... wonderful stuff!

I've continued to have opportunity to meet some lovely people along the way and look forward to more of the same on the upcoming live dates. We're already starting to put something together for the Autumn too so if you can't make any of the Spring dates, fear not. That said, you're very welcome along to both! :o)

Immediate happenings include a short 'featured artist' set at tomorrow evening's meeting of Milverton Music Club - one of the finest you'll ever come across - and I shall be in the audience for Graham Parker's gig in Exeter on Sunday evening... cannot wait for that!

Elsewhere, and frankly far more importantly, there is much happening still around our beautiful and broken world. Nepal's earthquake is tragic beyond expression and many continue to struggle with horrors on both personal and national scales. And if you're UK based, you will doubtless have noticed that there is a general election looming! In the face of all this and much, much more, it's so easy to conclude that there is nothing any of us can do of any significant worth to make any change for the better. I get that... completely get that; I'm just as prone to feeling that way too. The song I've included with this blog though says everything I have to say on the matter: giving up on you... me... the world at large - it's just not an option.
