Speaking of the run of dates in the South, Adam Jenkins of FATEA Magazine accompanied me for almost all of those gigs and has produced a superb piece about it which you can read on the FATEA website here. Please do check it out. It's a lovely insight into life on the road, as well as to the gigs themselves. Needless to say, much appreciation is due to him and to FATEA.
So what's coming up then? Excellent question. Well, firstly, 'Alone In The Dark' is officially released this weekend! It comes out on 5th October and pre-orders are on their way now. The feedback thus far from those who've bought copies at gigs; played it on their radio shows and from the review by folking.com (find it here) has been amazing... I couldn't be more pleased. The CD is available from gigs and this website only. You can order it online here now and the download version will be going live from the Shop on Saturday. Thanks to all who've already purchased it!
And speaking of gigs, there are still plenty of chances to get along to a show in 2019, including a run of dates I have coming up across my adopted home of the North East of England. (See above and below) The first of these happens this Saturday when I'll be playing an in-store set at HMV in the Metrocenter in Gateshead from 2pm. This will also be a fine way to mark the release date of 'A.I.T.D' and I'm thrilled to say that they will also be stocking copies of 'Somewhere Between' for sale in-store from 5th October. For full details of the upcoming NE dates and more besides, just head to the Events page; I hope you'll be able to join me at some point for songs old and (very) new. I'm looking forward to each and every show, but I have to say how thrilled I am to be opening for the great Christine Collister in Durham on 16th October! She's appearing with Michael Fix and this will be a very special night indeed.
You can also catch me on the radio this Sunday at around 12:15pm (UK time) when I'll be appearing on Australia's Curved Radio for a chat and more, and I'll then be on Spice FM's 'Mentally Sound' show next Wednesday (9th) which broadcasts out of Newcastle. This will be around 1:35pm (UK time) and will include a 'live in the studio' song or two as well.
So then, if you're able to get along to any of the NE shows, please check the links below for full details, ticket info. etc and I'll hopefully see you somewhere soon. Beyond that, there is more to come elsewhere as the weeks go by with full details here on the website.
I guess that's about it for now. Wishing everyone all the very best. As always, hang in there and I'll promise to do the same.
Steve xx
