Further Award Nominations And Such...

First of all, a huge THANK YOU to all the folks who've made it along to the various gigs over the last few weeks; some traveling a goodly distance to be there too! I still find it a remarkable and unspeakably encouraging thing that people are prepared to come out and hear me play... whether from down the street from the venue or from many miles away. So thank you to those who do just that, and also to those of you who've recently signed up to the mailing list; it's good to have you on board! (If you've not yet done so yourself, please drop us a line here to be added.)

I've also had the privilege of gigging with some other incredible artists lately. If you've not yet discovered them, I'd strongly recommend checking out Katie Spencer, Harry Pane and Said The Maiden.

On the news front, it's an honour to be able to report that I've been nominated for a further 2 awards, this time by Folking.com! The album itself, 'Somewhere Between', is up for Album Of The Year and I've also been nominated in the Soloist Of The Year category. All rather remarkable, especially given the quality of the other albums and people listed.

HOW TO VOTE:

The winners of these awards are voted for by the public, so if you'd like to have your say, all you have to do is follow the link here and vote in any or all of the 8 categories available. It takes about a minute and whoever you vote for, thank you for taking the time. Voting closes on 22nd April.

Whilst this certainly isn't about chasing awards and such, I have to say that following on from the Album Of The Year awards from FATEA Magazine and FolkWords earlier this year, it's all been quite overwhelming. My thanks to all concerned, and congratulations too to all the extraordinarily talented artists nominated.

Oh, and do look out for a very exciting announcement coming in the next week or so concerning a special event happening a little later in the year! I shall send out an email as soon as it goes live, but until then... ;o)

I have a few more gigs coming up this Spring before a (musically) quieter Summer descends... more on that in the not too distant as well.  For now though, you can check out the upcoming events here and also at the foot of this message, including gigs in Worcestershire and Derbyshire next month and North Tyneside in August. If you can make it along to any of them, it would be fantastic to see you. (Oh, and if you're in the Somerset area, keep your eyes peeled on Twitter and Facebook for details of a few further local informal  'Live In The Bar' gigs coming up in nearby hostelries over the coming weeks!)

So, further gig announcements coming soon... including a tour of Scotland in September! And if you'd like to arrange a gig in your area - or maybe a house concert - please feel free to get in touch here and we'd be more than happy to discuss what might be possible.

Meanwhile, hang in there. And do keep striking those matches... the light they give is much needed right now.
